Kai and Sehun of Exo are forming a subunit and will release new music in December, according to a local media report on Monday.
The bandmates, both born in 1994 and known by fans as the “94s,” gave fans a preview of their chemistry last year, when Sehun appeared as a surprise guest at Kai’s solo concert.
This will be Kai's first subunit and the second for Sehun, who teamed up with Chanyeol and dropped two albums, one in 2019 and another in 2020.
Kai has released four solo EPs and Sehun put out his first Chinese-language single in July.
Meanwhile, Exo kicked off its 14th anniversary year with its eighth studio album, “Reverxe,” in January, selling over a million copies and sweeping music charts and television music chart shows.
The group toured 14 regions across Asia, performing 27 shows from April to July, and will present three encore concerts in Seoul on Nov. 6-8.
