Volkswagen Financial Services Korea, the financial arm of the Volkswagen Group in Korea, announced Wednesday the appointment of financial expert Jussi Lehtimaeki as its new CEO.
With over 32 years of experience at the Volkswagen Group since joining in 1992, the new CEO has led the group's finance and mobility-related operations in Sweden, Greece, China and Russia, establishing himself as a proven executive in the automotive finance sector.
Most recently, he served as managing director of Volkswagen Financial Services Taiwan and officially assumed his role at the Korean unit on April 1, backed by recognition of his extensive career.
Before his CEO appointments, Lehtimaeki was involved in project management, business development and executive leadership roles at Volkswagen Financial Services branches in Japan and Taiwan.
Leveraging his deep experience across Asian markets, Volkswagen expects him to lead the stable growth of its Korean business moving forward.
"In Korea, a market with a dynamic automotive industry and a rapidly growing financial sector, I will provide customer-centric, innovative automotive financial solutions and actively support Volkswagen Group brands and dealerships, including Volkswagen, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini and Ducati," said Lehtimaeki.
