Lee Ju-eun, the Korean cheerleader from the "Pikki Pikki" dance viral Tiktok video, in which she danced moving her hands up and down, with her thumbs up during a baseball game, is taking her cheerleading skills to Taiwan.
According to Fubon Hyundai Life Insurance on Wednesday, Lee signed an exclusive contract with Fubon Sports & Entertainment and is set to join the Fubon Angels, the cheerleading squad for the Fubon Guardians in Taiwan’s professional baseball league, for the 2025 season.
“I’m so excited to be part of the Fubon Angels and can’t wait to create unforgettable moments with the fans in Taiwan,” Lee said.
Joyce Chen, president of Fubon Sports & Entertainment, shared her enthusiasm for Lee's arrival.
“With Lee Ju-eun on our squad, we hope to see even more fans at the stadium cheering for the Fubon Guardians next season,” she said.
Lee became an internet sensation after a 19-second fan-recorded video of her "Pikki Pikki" dance at a KIA Tigers game was uploaded on social media.
Since the clip’s debut on YouTube in June 2024, it has racked up over 90 million views and gone viral across platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
Her international fame even caught the attention of The New York Times, which featured her in an article titled “Who Are the Korean Cheerleaders Flooding TikTok?” in August last year.
