Supporters of suspended President Yoon Suk Yeol are seen lying on the road in front of the main gate of the presidential residence in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on Thursday, as investigators move to detain him as part of an expanding investigation into his controversial imposition of martial law on Dec. 3.
The Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials said earlier Thursday that it will execute the court-issued arrest warrant for President Yoon before its expiration on Jan 6. Yoon faces charges of insurrection and abuse of power.
