Kappao's solo exhibition "NO BOUNDARY" is currently on display at Whitestone Gallery Seoul, a leading art gallery in Asia, located in Yongsan-gu.
Kappao (b. 1977) studied decorative arts at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Italy. She is known for her ceramics, distinguished by their rough yet warm textures, as well as her paintings and installations that feature bold colors and spontaneous drawings. Her work thoughtfully explores themes of everyday life, interpersonal relationships and inner emotions, all while maintaining a cheerful and warm perspective.
This exhibition expands on the everyday themes the artist has previously explored, delving into the concept of "boundaries." It examines the relationships among humans, flora, fauna and nature, focusing on the invisible boundaries that connect and divide them. Through optimistic objects and a lyrical color palette, her works convey heartfelt messages and invite viewers to experience fresh perspectives.
The exhibition is open until Feb. 9.
