The man behind the most-watched YouTube video of all time is now featured on “YouTube Rewind 2012.” Psy appeared in the commemorative parody video which showcased some of this year’s most memorable YouTube acts. A horse-dancing Psy icon has been added next to the YouTube logo on the site’s main page.
In less than five months, Psy’s “Gangnam Style” surpassed the 810 million viewer mark, making it the most-watched video in YouTube history on Nov. 24. The “Gangnam Style” music video, which currently sits at 971 million hits on YouTube, is expected to break the 1 billion mark by the end of this year.
This month, the star was also ranked No. 7 on the U.S. Billboard’s “Top New Artists” chart, along with being ranked No. 56 on this year’s overall “Top Artists” and No. 15 on the “Social 50 Artists” charts.
