Cho Yang-ho
Cho Yang-ho, chairman of Hanjin Group, has become a new vice president of the Korean Olympic Committee.
The KOC board on Tuesday unanimously approved Cho along with Kim Jae-yeol, president of the Korea Skating Union, as the new vice presidents of the governing body.
Cho has chaired the Korea Table Tennis Association since 2008. He also served as the chairman of PyeongChang 2018 Bid Committee, helping Korea win the rights to host the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, Gangwon Province.
Cho received last month the first class of Order of Civil Merit of Mugunghwa for his role in PyeongChang’s successful bid.
