Singer-songwriter Baek A-yeon is set to mark her return, a year after her last single “Shouldn’t Have,” the singer’s agency JYP Entertainment announced Monday.
Baek uploaded a teaser image accompanied with the words “2015. 05 Shouldn’t Have/ 2016. 05 So So/ BAEK A YEON” on her official Facebook page at midnight on Sunday, announcing her return in May.
In the teaser image, Baek has her head resting on a desk in a room lit with sunshine. The meaning behind “So So” has not yet been revealed.
Baek first appeared as a contestant on the first season of SBS music competition show “K-pop Star” in 2011. She made it to the top three of the show, along with Park Ji-min and Lee Hi. She debuted with the mini album “I’m Baek” under JYP Entertainment in 2012.
“Shouldn’t Have,” written and composed by Baek, was released in May 2015.
