Comedian Ahn Young-mi signed a contract with YG Entertainment, signaling the giant agency’s expansion into a new genre.
The news came shortly after Yoo Byung-jae, who built up his career as a quirky character on “SNL Korea,” agreed to join YG last Thursday.
YG plans to expand its business by promoting the two comedians. They are set to work with other stars under YG in various shows.
YG released a poster featuring Ahn and Yoo in a comic situation.
Ahn, 31, who debuted in 2004, is a regular on “SNL Korea” on cable channel tvN.
