Jobplanet, an online recruitment platform operated by Worxphere, exchanged views with LinkedIn executives on Korea’s hiring market and the role of artificial intelligence in recruitment, the company announced Wednesday.
At its Seoul headquarters on Oct. 19, where LinkedIn Ecosystem Chief Product Officer Hari Srinivasan led a delegation of vice presidents, Jobplanet explained what sets the Korean market apart. Companies juggle open, rolling and performance-based hiring at once, and an aging workforce has employers caring more about the right candidates than wide job-posting reach.
On the AI front, Worxphere explained that it trains its engine on years of job seeker data from its JobKorea and Albamon services to sharpen personalized recommendations, and it envisions services that align what applicants and employers expect from each other.
The company valued the meeting for uniting a Korean platform with more than 10 million company reviews and Microsoft-owned LinkedIn, which has more than 1 billion members, to discuss the future of the job market.
"It was meaningful to exchange views with the leadership of LinkedIn, a global HR platform, on what makes Korea’s hiring market different and where it is heading," Jobplanet CEO Joon Lee remarked. "We will continue to innovate our hiring services to connect job seekers and employers more precisely in the AI era."
The gathering coincides with Jobplanet’s transformation into an AI-powered career platform that covers everything from career exploration to hiring, drawing on its vast archive of company, salary and interview reviews.
Partnerships with about 90 universities extend its reach to early-career users, while ties to Worxphere’s hiring services help it support workers across their careers, the company said.
