Date nights are optional, but kisses are not, at least for the couple that Son Suk-ku and Park Bo-young play in their next film. Skip one, and tomorrow never comes.

The two stars will play husband and wife in director Kang Hyeong-cheol’s fantasy rom-com “Kiss for Tomorrow,” distributor Next Entertainment World said Monday. Principal photography began Saturday.

According to the official synopsis, the couple can’t move on to the next day unless they kiss at least once a day. The film adds a time-loop twist when the two get separated during a cruise vacation and set out to find each other.

Son most recently headlined a film with “Troll Factory” (2024) and starred in the Disney+ series “Nine Puzzles” (2025). Park was last seen on the big screen in “Concrete Utopia” (2023) before playing the lead in the tvN series “Our Unwritten Seoul” (2025). “Kiss for Tomorrow” is their first project together.

For Park, the film is a reunion with the director who made her a star. The actor was 18 when she broke out in Kang’s 2008 hit comedy “Scandal Makers,” and the two are teaming up again exactly 18 years later.

Kang has directed “Sunny” (2011), “Tazza: The Hidden Card” (2014), “Swing Kids” (2018) and “Hi-Five” (2025). “Kiss for Tomorrow” is his first romance.

The globe-trotting shoot will take the cast to Korea, Singapore and Thailand. A release date has yet to be set.
