Main ingredients:
- 2 cups chestnuts
Seasoning ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- Black sesame seeds
Instructions:
Peel the chestnuts and place them in a heatproof container. Add a small amount of water and cook for about 8 minutes.
Add the cooking oil and sugar to a pot or frying pan. Cook over medium heat and wait until the sugar melts.
(Avoid stirring the sugar, as this may prevent it from caramelizing and cause the sugar crystals to clump together again.)
Once the sugar has melted and turned golden brown, add the chestnuts and quickly toss to coat them evenly.
Sprinkle with black sesame seeds and let the chestnuts cool separately to prevent them from sticking together. Serve and enjoy!
