The defendant accused of spreading fake videos of Ive’s Jang Wonyoung has been sentenced to prison, according to her agency Starship Entertainment on Wednesday.
The management company added that it has been monitoring and taking legal action against infringements of its artists' interests. It filed additional lawsuits against YouTube channels and YouTubers after gathering evidence of false allegations and distorted videos being posted and spread, reiterating its no-leniency policy.
Meanwhile, Ive members were spotted at Incheon Airport Thursday heading for Taipei, Taiwan. They are set to perform three shows starting Friday on their international “Show What I Am” tour.
In Seoul, a media exhibition dubbed "An-Young" focusing on Jang and groupmate An Yujin runs until Sept 27.
