Dokyeom of Seventeen was to join basic training camp on Tuesday, his agency Pledis Entertainment announced the same day.
He will be the sixth in the 13-piece act to enlist and will serve active duty in the Army.
The idol uploaded pictures of him getting a buzz cut livestreamed on Monday to bid fans goodbye, showing off the freshly shorn hair. Dokyeom chatted with viewers and listened to music while apologizing for his tears, adding that he could not understand the reason himself.
Mingyu will begin serving his mandatory duty as a social service agent from Thursday, followed by Seungkwan and Dino, who will enlist on Oct. 26 in the Army military band. They will be the last of the group to enlist.
