Babymonster hit the 10-billion-view mark on YouTube through its official channel, YG Entertainment announced Thursday.
This makes the group the second girl group from Korea to achieve the feat after Blackpink. The seven-member act has 17 videos with over 100 million views, including the music videos for “Sheesh” and “Drip,” both of which garnered more than 400 million plays.
Babymonster's channel has over 13 million subscribers, the third most for a K-pop girl group after Blackpink and Twice. It passed 10 million in just 17 months, in the shortest time for a K-pop girl group.
The group will be holding a concert in Manila on Saturday as part of its international tour, “Choom.” The tour began in Seoul in late June and will continue until early January, taking the members to eight cities in Asia and three in Australia.
