The National Police Agency showcased its new line of uniforms Wednesday at the Korea Police World Expo, held at Songdo Convensia in Incheon.
The collection features 17 types of attire designed for different duties and ranks, including two maternity jumpers for pregnant officers. The uniforms adopt a signature “police navy” shade -- a color independently developed by the agency to mark the 80th anniversary of its founding.
The agency also showcased a newly redesigned police cap -- a baseball-style hat worn with duty uniforms -- that is taller than its predecessor to more prominently display the Steller’s sea eagle, a symbol of Korea’s police force.
The new designs will remain on display at the expo through Friday and are set to be rolled out across the force over the next two years.
