Hanwha Life Financial Services, the financial arm of Korean insurance giant Hanwha Life, said Tuesday it signed a strategic partnership with Naver Financial to accelerate its push for digital finance innovation.

The signing ceremony took place Monday at Naver’s headquarters in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, with Hanwha Life Financial Services CEO Choi Seung-young, Managing Director Lee Seung-woo, Naver Financial CEO Park Sang-jin and Executive Vice President Jo Jae-park in attendance.

Under the agreement, the two companies will jointly develop services that combine Hanwha’s nationwide network of financial planners with Naver Pay’s fintech expertise.

This includes providing Hanwha’s insurance and financial advisory services through Naver Pay’s coverage analysis platform, co-developing AI-driven financial recommendation and consultation tools, and integrating Naver Pay’s payment system across various parts of the financial value chain.

Hanwha Life said that this partnership will enhance the efficiency of digital distribution channels for insurance and financial products, while also accelerating the development of AI-backed, tailored customer service.

“Utilizing Naver Pay’s innovative fintech, we aim to boost efficiency in sales channels and provide our customers with optimized financial planning,” said Lee Seung-woo, managing director of Hanwha Life Financial Services. “We also anticipate it to open new market opportunities in the future.”
