South Korean medical aesthetics company Hugel announced Monday that it had hosted a launch seminar earlier this month in Almaty, Kazakhstan, introducing its botulinum toxin Botulax and hyaluronic acid dermal filler Revolax to 120 local dermatologists and plastic surgeons.
Held under the theme “Nextgen Beauty Congress,” the event marked Hugel’s official entry into the Kazakh market, a key foothold for its expansion into the Commonwealth of Independent States, or CIS, region.
Kazakhstan’s aesthetic industry is growing at an annual rate of nearly 10 percent, driven by its stable economy and growing population.
Dr. Park Jong-hoon, a medical chief at Own Clinic Samseong Branch in Seoul, delivered a keynote lecture on the clinical efficacy of Botulax and the application of Revolax tailored for Asian facial structures.
He also shared case studies from Korea, highlighting combination treatment techniques using both products.
“We’re excited to launch our flagship products in Kazakhstan, the economic center of Central Asia,” said a Hugel official. "We aim to strengthen our local presence through synergistic sales and marketing strategies that combine botulinum toxin and dermal fillers."
Founded in 2001, Hugel is the only Korean company with botulinum toxin product approvals in the US, China and Europe. With operations in about 70 countries, the firm continues to expand its global footprint in injectable aesthetics.
