New song to be unveiled at upcoming concert
SHINee’s Onew will release his first English song for global fans.
Onew’s agency, Griffin Entertainment, announced that the singer's first English song, "Mad," is set to be released April 21. A teaser image for the new song, featuring the title and release date in bold red letters against a black background, was unveiled via Onew’s verified personal Instagram account, sparking curiosity among fans.
Before its official release, Onew will premiere "Mad" during his concert. The first live performance of the song will take place at his solo concert, "Connection," in Taipei April 5.
"Connection" is a new concert series led by Onew, featuring a live band performance. The show has already taken place in Yokohama, Japan and Seoul. Following performances at Taipei Music Center April 5 and Broadway Theatre in Macao April 20, Onew will embark on the US leg of the tour, which is also his first-ever solo US tour.
The North American tour will kick off in New York April 24 and will continue across eight cities, including Detroit April 26, Washington, DC April 28, Chicago April 30, Dallas May 2, Houston May 4, San Francisco May 7 and Los Angeles May 9.
