The collaboration song to be released later this year
BoyNextDoor is teaming up with Warner Bros.' beloved animated series "Tom and Jerry" for a special collaboration.
On Monday, BoyNextDoor attended the Tom and Jerry 85th anniversary celebration event at Warner Bros. Japan headquarters, where they announced plans to release a special collaboration song later this year.
As the chosen artists for this milestone in Japan, the sextet will drop a track embodying the iconic characters. There is also the possibility of a launch of character-themed items to coincide with the release.
First aired in 1940, "Tom and Jerry" remains one of Warner Bros.' most popular and enduring animated series.
BoyNextDoor, who debuted in 2023 under the production of Block B member Zico, quickly made a name for itself in the K-pop scene. The group also stands strong in the Japanese music market, following the release of its Japanese debut single "And" in 2024 and its participation in various festivals. Both the Korean and Japanese versions of the band's latest digital single "If I Say, I Love You" were well-received in Japan.
The group is on the Japan leg of its Asia tour "Knock On Vol. 1," which kicked off in December. BoyNextDoor is set to perform in Miyagi, Fukuoka and Kanagawa following successful concerts in Incheon, Tokyo, Aichi and Osaka.
