Renault Korea announced Friday that it has completed the final inspection of its revamped production line at the Busan plant, making it the first in Korea capable of assembling both gasoline and electric vehicles. On the same day, Busan Mayor Park Heong-joon visited the facility and met with Renault Korea CEO Stephane Deblaise, pledging municipal support for the company’s transition to EVs. Production will resume next week with the Grand Koleos, a mid-size hybrid SUV, while the facility prepares to manufacture coupe-style sport utility vehicle Polestar 4 later this year, marking a key step in Renault Korea’s shift toward electrification.
