BTS member J-Hope will take the stage Wednesday at the Le Gala des Pieces Jaunes charity event at La Defense Arena in Paris. The event, organized by France’s Operation Pieces Jaunes foundation and led by First Lady Brigitte Macron, raises funds to support hospitalized children and adolescents.

J-Hope will be the first Korean male solo artist to perform at the gala, along with global stars such as Katy Perry, John Legend and Rose of Blackpink.

Army, BTS' fanbase, has also participated in the foundation’s fundraising activities by selling out the event within 10 minutes of tickets opening on Jan. 13.

“J-Hope has chosen to use his influence for a meaningful performance, and we will continue the hope and solidarity he has started,” Army said.

This marks J-Hope’s first performance in France in nearly six years, following BTS’ “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” world tour in 2019.

The charity concert will air Jan. 28 on France’s national broadcaster France 2.

Meanwhile, J-Hope is set to kick off his first solo world tour “J-Hope Tour ‘Hope On the Stage’” with concerts in Seoul from Feb. 28 to March 2. The three Seoul shows sold out during fan club presales on Jan. 14.

The tour will span 31 shows in 15 cities, including major stops in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Mexico City and Bangkok. J-Hope will make history as the first Korean solo artist to perform at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, on April 4 and 6.
