[THE INVESTOR] Hyundai Motor saw its combined sales in Brazil, Russia, India and Mexico edge up 1.3 percent in the first half of this year from a year earlier, industry data showed on Aug. 2.
According to the data by automotive associations in each nation, sales came to 420,501 units last year.
Hyundai Motor sold 95,958 cars in Brazil and 64,334 in Russia, down 4.5 percent and 19 percent from a year earlier, respectively.
Meanwhile, the carmaker sold 243,441 units in India and 16,768 in Mexico, up 8.7 percent and 52.4 percent, respectively.
The data showed that Hyundai Motor’s combined market share in the four emerging markets edged up 0.9 percentage point on-year to 11.2 percent.
