Hana Financial Group held its first-ever meeting with individual shareholders to discuss its plans to enhance corporate value and expand shareholder returns.

The meeting took place Thursday at Place1 in Samseong-dong, southern Seoul, with around 30 individual shareholders in attendance. The event marked an expansion of the group's investor relations activities, which had previously focused mainly on overseas and institutional investors.

Park Jong-moo, Hana Financial's executive vice president and chief financial officer, attended the event to thank shareholders, and Park Geun-hoon, head of investor relations, delivered a corporate presentation and took questions from participants.

The group outlined its corporate value enhancement plan and shareholder return policy, including a target of raising return on equity to 12 percent and expanding predictable shareholder returns based on its shareholder return framework.

Hana Financial has announced plans to buy back and cancel 949 billion won ($700 million) worth of its shares this year and increase dividend payments by more than 10 percent from the previous year.

Tax exemptions will also apply to the year-end dividend scheduled for early 2027. The group aims to increase annual dividend payments by more than 10 percent and expand shareholder returns through dividends and share buybacks and cancellations.

“The meeting was organized to communicate directly with individual shareholders and we will hold such meetings regularly,” a Hana Financial Group official said.
