South Korean biotech firm Lee Moon Won Bio has secured a patent for a patient health monitoring system, bringing its portfolio of registered patents to 12 as it seeks to integrate hair-loss diagnosis, treatment and long-term care into a single digital platform.
The patent, titled “Wellness Diagnosis Method, System and Device," was filed in April and registered on Oct. 2, the company said Monday. It forms the basis of the company's Body Recording System, which tracks patient health data to support ongoing treatment and care.
The latest registration follows two patents secured in March for technologies that analyze responses to hair-loss questionnaires and recommend treatment products. Together, the technologies aim to connect patient consultations, diagnosis, product recommendations and follow-up care through a unified data platform.
The company's earlier research focused on natural ingredients, including Arisaema extracts, seaweed and barley sprouts. In 2025, it patented a hair-growth formulation designed to activate hair follicle stem cells and subsequently filed an international application under the Patent Cooperation Treaty.
The formulation is used in Super Hair Shot, a herbal injection treatment supplied to Korean medicine clinics since April. The company has another 17 patent applications pending, including international filings.
Lee Moon Won Bio's technology builds on clinical experience at Lee Moon Won Korean Medicine Clinic, established in 2005. According to the company, the clinic treated 13,101 foreign patients from 103 territories between 2023 and 2025, including more than 5,000 in 2025.
Founder and CEO Lee Moon-won said hair loss requires long-term management and that the company plans to standardize clinical data accumulated over more than two decades.
