Park Ji-hyun became the first Korean actor nominated for an International Emmy in acting, recognized for her role in the Netflix series “You and Everything Else.”
Established in 1973, the International Emmy Awards honor outstanding television programs produced outside the United States. They are separate from the Primetime Emmy Awards, which recognize US productions.
Park was nominated in the Best Performance by an Actress category at the 54th International Emmy Awards. Park is competing against Mona Mina Leon of Belgium’s “Holy Sh!t,” Bárbara Mori of Mexico’s “Lucca’s World” and Sheridan Smith of the UK’s “I Fought the Law.”
Released in September 2025, “You and Everything Else” follows two longtime friends, Eun-jung (Kim Go-eun) and Sang-yeon (Park), as their relationship becomes strained from their teens through their 40s. The series addresses the complex issue of assisted dying.
The winners will be announced Nov. 23 in New York.
Another Korean production, the Disney+ series “Hyper Knife” starring Park Eun-bin and Sol Kyung-gu, received a nomination in the TV Movie/Miniseries category.
“Hyper Knife” will compete with Spain’s “The Anatomy of a Moment,” Brazil’s “Oxygen Mask Will Not Drop Automatically,” and the UK’s “Prisoner 951.”
