Incheon facility to provide government-funded storage for Uzbek exporters
Uzbekistan has opened a bonded warehouse in Incheon, giving its exporters a logistics base for storing and distributing goods in South Korea, the Uzbek embassy in Seoul said Monday.
The facility began operations Saturday, with Uzbekistan's Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Shokhrukh Gulyamov attending the opening, according to a statement shared with The Korea Herald.
Uzbek manufacturers and exporters will be able to store goods at the warehouse before supplying them to Korean buyers or selling them through e-commerce platforms.
The Uzbek government will cover storage costs for Uzbek products at the facility, making the service free for participating exporters, the embassy said.
The warehouse is located in Jung-gu, Incheon.
Uzbekistan's Trade Development Company JSC will assist exporters with export procedures, logistics, international e-commerce and access to the Korean market.
