Samsung SDS has become the first Korean company to attain Select Tier status in Anthropic’s Claude Partner Network, strengthening its ability to help businesses deploy and operate the generative AI platform.
The designation follows a strategic partnership the companies signed at an AI summit in San Francisco in July. Anthropic awards Select Tier status to partners with certified technical personnel and demonstrated experience applying Claude in real-world business environments.
Samsung SDS was already authorized to resell Claude through Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Web Services’ platform for generative AI models. Its new status expands that role across the AI adoption process, from consulting and software supply to deployment, operation and technical support.
The company has also deployed Claude Enterprise internally under its “Client Zero” strategy, through which it tests services within Samsung before offering them to customers. About 70,000 employees across 20 Samsung affiliates can use Claude to improve productivity and support broader AI adoption.
Samsung SDS plans to draw on that experience when helping corporate and public-sector customers adopt AI. It will combine Anthropic’s technology with its digital transformation expertise in government, finance, manufacturing and logistics to develop industry-specific AI services and agent-based solutions.
Under their July agreement, Samsung SDS and Anthropic are seeking new enterprise AI opportunities in Korea through joint marketing and proof-of-concept projects. They are also training applied AI engineers to support customers with adoption planning, deployment, operation and technical issues.
“Samsung SDS has strong technical capabilities and industry expertise in applying AI to real business needs,” said Chris Ciauri, Anthropic’s managing director of international. “With its Select Tier status, we will deepen our strategic collaboration and help Korean companies improve productivity and innovation with Claude.”
“We will combine Anthropic’s frontier AI technology with our digital transformation experience across industries to accelerate AI adoption and create tangible business value for Korean companies,” Samsung SDS CEO Lee June-hee said.
