Blackpink's Jennie is preparing to release a new EP in late August, her agency Odd Atelier said Wednesday.
The upcoming release follows a string of appearances at major global music festivals this year. Jennie headlined the Governors Ball Music Festival in New York in June, followed by Roskilde Festival in Denmark, Open'er Festival in Poland and Mad Cool Festival in Spain in July. She also performed at Summer Sonic in Japan in August.
During several of the festivals, Jennie previewed unreleased tracks including "Fallen Angel" and "Lockitdown," though it remains unclear which songs will be included on the upcoming EP.
She also performed "Less than a Lover" before officially releasing the track as a digital single on July 24. The song became the only single by a female solo artist released this year to earn gold certification on China's QQ Music and topped Mnet's "M Countdown" for two consecutive weeks.
