S. Korea’s fruit exports hit record high in H1: customs agency

한국의 과일 수출, 상반기 사상 최고치 기록

South Korea’s fruit exports reached a record high in the first half of 2026, customs data showed, driven by global demand for premium products and improved shipping.

관세 자료에 따르면, 고급 제품에 대한 세계적인 수요 증가와 운송 여건 개선에 힘입어 한국의 과일 수출량이 2026년 상반기에 사상 최고치를 기록했다.

Fruit exports during the January-June period reached $95.72 million, up 19.7 percent from a year earlier, according to the Korea Customs Service. The figure for all of 2025 stood at a record $240 million.

관세청은 1월부터 6월까지 과일 수출액이 전년 동기 대비 19.7% 증가한 9,572만 달러를 기록했다고 발표했다. 2025년 전체 수출액은 2억 4천만 달러로 역대 최고치를 기록했다.

The agency attributed the robust performance to South Korea’s strategy of offering premium products tailored to different markets, along with cold-chain shipping infrastructure that allows exporters to maintain freshness.

해당 기관은 한국의 견조한 실적을 다양한 시장에 맞춘 프리미엄 제품 제공 전략과 수출업체가 신선도를 유지할 수 있도록 하는 콜드체인 운송 인프라 덕분으로 분석했다.

Strawberries accounted for 63.2 percent of the exports, followed by grapes and pears at 18.6 percent and 8.4 percent, respectively. By destination, Singapore accounted for 23.9 percent of the exports, followed by Thailand and Taiwan at 18.5 percent and 12.1 percent, respectively.

딸기가 수출량의 63.2%를 차지했으며, 포도와 배가 각각 18.6%와 8.4%로 뒤를 이었다. 수출 대상국으로는 싱가포르가 23.9%를 차지했고, 태국과 대만이 각각 18.5%와 12.1%를 차지했다.
