The Black Label shared a teaser image Wednesday signaling Taeyang's return nearly three years after his second EP, “Down to Earth."
The image features the word “Quintessence,” referring to the most perfect example, embodiment or purest essence of something. The teaser image describes the word as one “that is most needed for this generation” and also one that inspires Taeyang.
In the teaser, Taeyang also adds that he has not found the perfect meaning of the word quintessence, but that the search for it shaped his upcoming album.
The teaser image has sparked curiosity among fans, raising anticipation for the singer’s next release, which was teased at Big Bang group mate G-Dragon’s concert in December 2025 and Daesung’s concert in January.
Known for his strong stage presence and performance, Taeyang has built a reputation as a versatile solo artist, drawing steady support from both fans and the general public.
On April 12 and 19, Taeyang is also set to take the stage at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival as a member of Big Bang.
