S. Korea kicks off 2026 World Cup journey
한국, 2026 월드컵 본선 여정 본격 시작
South Korea has been drawn into Group A for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, alongside co-host Mexico, South Africa and the eventual winner of European playoff Group D, which includes Denmark, the Czech Republic, Ireland and North Macedonia. The final European qualifier will be decided on April 1, 2026.
한국 축구대표팀이 2026 국제축구연맹(FIFA) 월드컵에서 멕시코, 남아프리카공화국과 같은 조에 편성됐다. 한국은 공동 개최국 멕시코, 남아프리카공화국, 그리고 덴마크·체코·아일랜드·북마케도니아가 포함된 유럽 플레이오프 D조 승자와 함께 A조에 배정됐다. 해당 유럽 플레이오프 최종 승자는 2026년 4월 1일에 결정된다.
The tournament will run from June 11 to July 19, featuring 104 matches over 39 days. South Korea’s group-stage schedule has been fully confirmed and will take place entirely in Mexico.
2026 월드컵은 6월 11일부터 7월 19일까지 39일간 진행되며, 총 104경기가 열린다. 한국의 조별리그 일정은 모두 확정됐으며, 모든 경기는 멕시코에서 치러진다.
Korea will open its campaign on June 11 against the playoff Group D winner at Estadio Akron in Guadalajara. The second match follows on June 18 at the same venue against Mexico. The team will wrap up the group stage on June 24 against South Africa at Estadio BBVA in Monterrey, a match likely to be decisive in determining advancement to the knockout round.
한국은 6월 11일 멕시코 과달라하라의 에스타디오 아크론에서 유럽 플레이오프 D조 승자를 상대로 대회 첫 경기를 치른다. 이어 6월 18일 같은 장소에서 멕시코와 2차전을 치른다. 조별리그 마지막 경기는 6월 24일 몬테레이의 에스타디오 BBVA에서 남아프리카공화국을 상대로 열리며, 16강 진출 여부를 가를 중요한 승부가 될 전망이다.
