Half of Spotify’s top 10 most-streamed K-pop songs in late 2024 are BTS solo tracks

Five out of the top 10 tracks on Spotify’s “2024 Global Impact List” were solo songs by BTS members, according to Big Hit Music on Wednesday. The list, released Tuesday by the world’s largest streaming platform, highlights the most-streamed Korean songs outside of Korea from July to December 2024.

BTS members' strong presence extended beyond the top 10, with one-third of the top 30 songs also coming from them, reaffirming their global dominance.

Topping the chart was Jimin’s “Who,” the lead track from his second solo album “Muse,” making it the most-streamed K-pop song worldwide in the latter half of 2024. Four other tracks from the album also made the list, with “Be Mine” ranking at No. 5.

Jin’s “Running Wild,” the main track of his solo debut album “Happy,” released in November, secured the No. 6 spot, while his prerelease single “I’ll Be There” followed closely at No. 8.

Another notable entry in the top 10 was “Winter Ahead,” a duet between V and veteran singer Park Hyo-shin, which landed at No. 9.

Beyond the top 10, Jimin’s “Slow Dance” (featuring Sofia Carson), “Rebirth (Intro),” and “Interlude: Showtime” ranked No. 19, No. 22 and No. 28, respectively.

Jin’s digital single “Super Tuna,” originally released as an official track in October 2022, resurfaced at No. 23, while V’s collaboration with Bing Crosby on “White Christmas (with V of BTS)” ranked No. 26.

This latest ranking follows Spotify’s “2024 Wrapped” report released in December, which named BTS the most-streamed Korean artist globally for 2024. BTS songs amassed a staggering 3.9 billion streams throughout the year, marking the group’s seventh consecutive year as Spotify’s most-streamed K-pop artist since 2018.
