The fifth EP from Zerobaseone sold over a million copies on its day of release, said agency WakeOne Entertainment Tuesday.
The EP “Blue Paradise” extends the band’s million-selling streak to five, renewing the group's record of four consecutive million-sellers including its debut mini album. The nine-member act’s first EP “Youth in the Shade” was the first debut album from a K-pop band to sell over a million.
The new EP topped the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 12 regions while the main track “Blue” debuted on Melon’s Top 100 at No. 42 and landed atop Bugs' real-time music chart.
The band debuted through an audition show in July 2023 as a project team that will last for 2 1/2 years.
BTS’ Jimin most played K-pop artist outside Korea: Spotify
Jimin of BTS notched the top spot on Spotify’s Global Impact List published Tuesday.
His solo single “Who” amassed the most streams across the world, outside Korea, in the latter half of 2024 on the platform. “Who,” the lead single from his second solo album “Muse,” topped the list of 30 songs which also included four B-side tracks from the album.
“Who” ranked No. 37 on the UK’s Official Singles Top 100 unveiled last week, extending its stay to 25 weeks. On Billboard’s Hot 100, it ranked No. 40 in its 29th week, closing in on the second-longest streak on the chart, 31 weeks, set by Psy.
The album stayed on the Billboard 200 for 30 straight weeks, at No. 132, and set a record for a K-pop solo album for the longest stay.
