SM Classics Live 2025 with SPO to present orchestral versions of SM's hit songs, feature K-pop stars Minho and Wendy

The Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra and SM Entertainment will present an inaugural concert series this month, featuring hit music of the entertainment powerhouse artists including BoA, Girls' Generation, Red Velvet, NCT, asepa, Exo, SHInee, RIIZE and more.
Titled “SM Classics Live 2025 with Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra,” the two-day concerts will feature SM Entertainment’s most beloved hits from the past 30 years.
In 2020, SM Entertainment established SM Classics, a classical and jazz music label and went on to forge a partnership between SM Classics and SPO. Since then, the two organizations created orchestral versions of Red Velvet’s “Red Flavor” and SHINee’s Jonghyun’s “End of a Day.” In 2022, they released Red Velvet’s “Feel My Rhythm” and aespa’s debut song “Black Mamba,” followed by Girls’ Generation’s “Into The New World” and EXO’s “Growl” in 2023. In 2024, they presented orchestral renditions and music videos of Red Velvet’s “Psycho” and RIIZE’s “Boom Boom Bass.”
SHINee’s Minho will serve as the opening narrator on both days. On Feb. 14, the performance will combine Seoul Philharmonic’s orchestral music with media art, creating a visually and aurally captivating experience. On Feb. 15, Red Velvet’s main vocalist Wendy will take the stage with the orchestra.
This event marks the world’s first live K-pop orchestra concert, celebrating the 30th anniversary of SM Entertainment, the 20th anniversary of Seoul Philharmonic Foundation and the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the SPO.
Seoul Philharmonic said that the two organizations plan to continue breaking genre boundaries by arranging K-pop songs into orchestral and various classical formats.
“Through innovative content development and collaborations with artists, the SPO and SM Classics aim to bring accessible yet high-quality music to a broad audience,” the SPO said in a press release on Monday.
The concerts, led by rising conductor Kim Yu-won, will take place on Feb. 14 at 8:00 p.m. at the Seoul Arts Center Concert Hall and on Feb. 15 at 5:00 p.m. at Lotte Concert Hall. Ticket prices range from 88,000 won ($59.92) to 165,000 won.
