Illit amassed 500 million streams on Spotify for its debut song “Magnetic” as of Wednesday, said agency Belift Lab Friday citing the platform.

The rookie girl group achieved the feat in 275 days, a record for a debut single from a K-pop group.

“Magnetic” is the main track from its first EP “Super Real Me." The track entered Billboard’s Hot 100 and UK’s Official Singles Top 100, becoming the first debut song to do either in K-pop history. It also made the year-end charts of Billboard and Apple Music, ranking No. 61 and No. 29 on Billboard’s Global 200 and Global excl. US, respectively, and No. 25 on Apple’s Top Song of 2024: Global. All three spots are the highest this year for a K-pop group.

Meanwhile, the five members flew to Japan Thursday to appear in a year-end music broadcast.

GOT7 will hold a concert in Seoul on Feb. 1-2, its first full-group live show in about three years, according to a local media report Friday.

The seven-member act is slated to roll out its 13th EP “Winter Heptagon” on Jan. 20, 2025, in time for its 11th debut anniversary.

The band debuted in 2014 and the members have been pursuing individual careers since they parted ways with JYP Entertainment in 2021. They reunited for a namesake mini album in 2022 which topped the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 95 regions.

The upcoming EP will be coming out in the window between the end of Jay B and Jinyoung's mandatory military service and the pending enlistments of Youngjae and Yugyeom.

BSS, a subunit trio from Seventeen, will make a comeback on Jan. 8, 2025, with its second physical single “Teleparty,” agency Pledis Entertainment said Friday.

The news came with a teaser video dubbed “How is your youth?” in which Seungkwan, Hoshi and Dokyeom boost the energy of everyone around them by saying “youth” is not about age but about enjoying the present.

The single comes about two years after the unit's first single “Second Wind,” which set first-week sales for a K-pop subunit. It sold over 470,000 copies on its day of release and nabbed the three eight trophies from television music chart shows. The focus track from the first single album, “Fighting (feat. Lee Youngji),” was also chosen as the official chant song for Korean athletes at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
