Ingredients:

  • 500 grams chicken thighs (about 6 pieces)
  • 2 stalks green onion
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 stalk chives

Marinade Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons rice wine
  • 1 teaspoon ginger juice
  • A pinch black pepper

Sauce Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons cooking wine
  • 2 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tablespoon gochugaru (Korean chili flakes)
  • 1/2 tablespoon minced garlic
  • A pinch black pepper

(for 8 skewers)

Instructions:

Soak the chicken in milk for about 20 minutes, then rinse and cut into bite-sized pieces. Marinate with the marinade ingredients for 10 minutes.

Cut the green onion into 3-centimeter pieces. In a bowl, mix together all the sauce ingredients.

Heat a pan with a little oil and cook the chicken pieces until golden brown on all sides.

Thread the chicken pieces and green onion alternately onto skewers, then brush with the sauce.

Place the skewers back on the heated pan, cooking over medium-low heat while brushing with additional sauce until the chicken is cooked through.

Garnish with finely chopped chives before serving.
