Cassia Sokcho rolls out autumn desserts for foliage season
Persimmons, chestnuts and figs take center stage in a new seasonal dessert lineup at Cassia Sokcho in Gangwon Province, timed for peak foliage season at nearby Seoraksan.
Starting Oct. 6, the hotel's fourth-floor cafe and bakery, Horizon, will offer the limited-edition menu.
The Autumn Harmony afternoon tea set includes persimmon mousse, persimmon sago juice, mousse shaped like a pine mushroom, red wine-poached pear, marron glace, chestnut financiers and a fig compote kouign-amann. Savory items include wild mushroom truffle panini and persimmon tapas paired with shrimp and jamon. Scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream, along with coffee or tea, round out the set, priced at 98,000 won for two.
Vista Walkerhill Seoul bundles lounge, breakfast, sauna perks into new service
Walkerhill Hotels & Resorts has introduced the Vista Signature Service, which includes happy hour at the Grand Walkerhill Seoul club lounge, breakfast at The Buffet and use of the sauna at Vista Walkerhill Seoul's Wellness Club.
The service is available to guests staying in signature deluxe, signature deluxe balcony and signature spa deluxe rooms on the 12th to 14th floors, as well as in all suites.
The service is designed to link the resort's main dining and wellness offerings, allowing guests to move from a Han River-view happy hour to breakfast and a sauna session within one stay.
Sono Pet offers sound meditation class for dogs and their owners
Dogs and their owners can unwind together at a singing bowl meditation session at Sono Pet Club & Resort's Vivaldi Park location in Hongcheon, Gangwon Province.
The pet resort will hold the Signature Wellness Class on Nov. 14 at the Sono Pet Vivaldi Park Playground. Organized with Petrients, singing bowl sound meditation instructor Kim Yeon-hee will lead three sessions each day.
Each team consists of one owner and one dog. The participation fee is 10,000 won, and all participants receive a gift set.
Reservations open on the Sono Hotels & Resorts website, with on-site registration available for any remaining spots.
Grand Hyatt Seoul holds exhibition with ceramicist Shin Sang-ho
"A Place We Imagined," an exhibition of renowned ceramicist Shin Sang-ho's work, officially opens Friday at Grand Hyatt Seoul.
The exhibition takes a different approach to display. Instead of being lined up in a separate gallery space, the works are placed among the furniture and objects of the LL level. Visitors come across them while walking through the space, much like spotting something unexpected in an old shop window.
The format reflects Shin's long-running experimentation with new forms, according to the hotel.
The Grand Lotte Seoul pairs grape desserts with 'The Remarried Empress'
Grape desserts get a royal makeover at The Grand Lotte Seoul, which has teamed up with an upcoming Disney+ series "The Remarried Empress."
"Must Be Grape Palette: A Symphony of Grapes" runs through Nov. 30, featuring Shine Muscat, Gold Sweet, Red Claret and Sunny Dolce grapes.
"The Remarried Empress" afternoon tea draws on the Disney+ original series premiering in November, with details inspired by Empress Navier's crown, the feathers of her bird Queen and purple roses. It costs 110,000 won with coffee or tea or 170,000 won with wine.
A grape dessert buffet centered on Shine Muscat is held on the first Saturday of every month for 120,000 won per person.
