Singer-songwriter Eric Nam will return with his fourth LP, “Confessions of a Lonely Heart,” on Oct. 16, his first album release since 2024.

The album will be released at 1 p.m. through major online music platforms, according to his agency, All My Anecdotes.

Ahead of the release, Nam unveiled a teaser video through his official social media accounts, offering a glimpse into the album’s introspective mood. The video shows him spending time alone against quiet urban backdrops, including a riverside park along the Han River and a roadside bench.

In the accompanying narration in English, Nam reflects on sleeplessness and isolation.

“Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and I just lie there, staring into the dark, listening to the sound of my own breath,” he says. “The noise in my head and the ringing in my ears won’t go away.”

He goes on to say that he has recently found it difficult to listen to music because “every song sounds like a love song written for someone else,” describing how he instead fills the silence with podcasts, news broadcasts and weather reports.

“I don’t know if this is loneliness or if it’s a feeling that I’m one moment away from completely falling apart,” Nam says in the video.

The singer will deliver more candid stories and more polished music, according to the agency.

The upcoming album follows a series of singles earlier this year, including “How the Fire Started,” “Miss Me More” and “Someday,” which will be included in the upcoming nine-track album.

Nam recently signed with entertainment agency All My Anecdotes, which represents virtual girl group Owis and Ryu Soo-jeong from girl group Lovelyz.

Nam also came third on the US version of TV show “The Traitors,” and has also been active as an actor — he is set to participate as a voice actor in the animated film “Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender.” He has additionally been cast in the film “K-Pop: The Debut.”

Nam also recently held a “Spotlight: Eric Nam” performance at the Grammy Museum’s Clive Davis Theater in Los Angeles on Aug. 10 and attended the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 27.
