Paradise City relaunches resort-wide shows with 'Paradise Odyssey 2.0'

Paradise City in Incheon is rolling out Paradise Odyssey 2.0, a full renewal of its indoor performances ahead of the resort's 10th anniversary next year. The signature masquerade show "Masquerella: The Prizm Gala" opened July 31 in the hotel lobby's Wow Zone, transforming the space into a "Prizm Hall" around Yayoi Kusama's "Great Gigantic Pumpkin." It runs daily from 2:30-2:50 p.m. At the Wonderbox theme park, aerial circus "Comet Strike: The Aurora Festival" runs daily at 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The Plaza, a large indoor square, debuts a live awards show "Lucky Paradise Pictures" on Aug. 15, evoking a Hollywood red-carpet ceremony with slot-machine and roulette visuals playing behind the performers. All three shows are free through March 1, with a break every Tuesday.

High1 Resort opens 'Blue Sky' infinity pool at 800 meters

High1 Resort in Jeongseon, Gangwon Province, opened Blue Sky, an infinity pool set 800 meters above sea level, on the seventh floor of its Grand Hotel convention tower. The pool overlooks the Baekdudaegan mountain range, offering wide-open views of the surrounding highlands. Alongside the infinity pool, the premium leisure space includes a children's pool and a spa. The pool runs from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. in four time slots. Admission is 60,000 won for adults and 40,000 won for children, covering ages 3 to 13. Cabanas rent for 60,000 won and sunbeds for 20,000 won.

Andaz Seoul Gangnam unveils six summer signature cocktails

Andaz Seoul Gangnam near Apgujeong Station has introduced six Andaz Signature Cocktails created by bar manager Dimitri Pietersen for the summer season. Pietersen, who has worked at hotels including Armani Hotel Dubai and Four Seasons Hotel Seoul, drew on citrus, the sea and summer barbecue for the collection. The lineup includes Hwachae, a modern take on a traditional Korean fruit dessert, and Sea in Apgujeong, made with Hwayo soju and a sports drink. Other options are two sunset-themed drinks, Sunset Cooler and Sunset Sour, along with the sake-based Andaz Sakitini and the gin-based Summer Haze. The cocktails are available at Jogakbo Bites & Wine on the hotel's second floor through Sept. 6, priced at 24,000 won each.

Four Seasons Seoul's Boccalino launches Friday-only Pescheria Night

Boccalino, the Italian restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Seoul in Gwanghwamun, has launched Pescheria Night, a Friday dinner inspired by the seafood markets of Sicily. The five-course, Sicilian-style menu by head chef Ivan Spadaro opens with five seafood antipasti, followed by soup and a main course chosen from grilled Australian beef sirloin, white fish acqua pazza, seafood pizza or lobster fettuccine. It closes with tableside fritto misto and limoncello tiramisu. Pescheria Night costs 150,000 won per person. Boccalino also offers a Summer Tasting Course built around sea urchin, abalone and fresh white fish at 230,000 won per person, and a weekday Lunch Delight from 79,000 won, which pairs an antipasti buffet with a main course and dessert.

Cassia Sokcho's Horizon rolls out summer menu and watermelon drinks

Cassia Sokcho in Gangwon Province is running a summer promotion at its cafe and bakery, Horizon. The Summer Delights menu features three seasonal dishes. They are corn cream spaghetti at 39,000 won, Hawaiian pizza at 40,000 won, and grilled lobster with tomato spaghetti at 54,000 won. A companion drink lineup, Horizon in Summer, centers on watermelon, with watermelon juice, watermelon ade and a coconut watermelon smoothie each priced at 17,000 won. The venue also serves sparkling wine and charcuterie platters to enjoy against sunset views over the East Sea.
