The most famous Japanese schoolgirl is a man 

The most famous schoolgirl in Japan is Hideaki Kobayashi, a man in his 50s, according to the Huffington Post. 

Kobayashi is a middle-aged man with glasses but from the neck down he is “dressed in a ‘seifuku,’ a sailor outfit worn by teenage girls.”

 

When asked last year why he dresses like a schoolgirl, he didn’t take the question seriously and answered, “Because these sailor suits look good on me.” But now he has become “more direct about his intentions.” 

“Japanese society is all about conforming to other people. I just want to wear something cute,” he said. 

Despite the fact that he is challenging gender norms, he says that he’s attractive to women and thinks of himself as a man.

Although he gets rude comments from Japanese men, he has become an Internet superstar. He was even hired as a prep school teacher to “teach teenagers to think for themselves.”

His message is “If there’s something you want to do, do that and be yourself.”
