미국 플로리다에 거주하는 한 여교사가 미성년자인 제자와 무려 30차례 성관계를 맺은 혐의로 구속되었다고, 지난 20일 영국 일간지 데일리 메일이 보도했다.
29세의 여선생 제니퍼 피쳐는 약 4개월에 걸쳐 17세인 학생과 주차장이나 고속도로에서 만나 자신의 트럭 뒷자석에서 성관계를 맺어온 혐의다. 또한 이 여성은 성관계로 인하여 남학생의 아이를 임신했다 낙태한 사실을 실토했다고 외신은 전했다.
두 사람의 부적절한 관계를 경찰에 신고한 사람은 남학생의 어머니였다. 아이가 새벽 5시에 집 밖에 있었던 것을 눈치 챈 엄마는 휴대폰 문자 메시지를 확인하고 아들을 추궁하여 밝혀냈다. 분노한 어머니가 이 여성에게 전화를 걸자 여교사는 “아들을 사랑하고 있으며 앞으로도 계속 만나고 싶다”고 말한것으로 전해졌다.
사건에 연루된 이 여교사는 지난 2008년에도 재직중인 학교의 남학생과의 부적절한 관계로 인해 정직당한 사실이 알려져 충격을 주고 있다. 경찰 조사에 따르면 피쳐는 그 당시 학교에서도 동료 교사에게 학생에 대한 적절치 않은 꿈을 꿨다고 말하거나 다른 학생에게 그 학생과 성관계를 원한다는 등의 발언을 했다고 전했다.

A female teacher living in Florida is under investigation on charges of having sex with her 17-year-old student, the Daily Mail reported on April 20.
The police revealed that 29-year-old Jennifer Fichter had been engaged in a sexual relationship with the student for four months. They had met in the parking lot or near the highway and had sex in the backseat of Fichter’s pickup truck. The woman also said that she had once aborted a baby she had conceived with the student.
The mother of the student noticed the inappropriate relationship between her son and the teacher when her son was not in the house at 5 a.m. She checked his text messages and confronted her son about his absence in the early morning. Outraged, she called the teacher, but she responded, “I am in love with your son and want to keep seeing him.”
Also, the police reported that Fichter had been investigated for another inappropriate relationship with an underage student at her previous job. She confessed to a coworker that she had a dream about the boy and even told other students that she wanted to have sex with him.
