Finance ministers of South Korea and India will meet this week to discuss economic cooperation, officials here said Monday.
Finance Minister Hyun Oh-seok will meet with his Indian counterpart Palaniappan Chidambaram in New Delhi on Wednesday, according to the officials at the finance ministry.
They will discuss cooperation in major economic areas including trade, investment, taxation, finance and infrastructure areas, they said.
In addition, the two will exchange views on cooperation on the international stage “as major countries representing emerging economies.” the officials said.
Hyun will then visit Laos for talks on cooperation in finance, power generation, natural resources and infrastructure development, they added. The meeting will be held on Friday in the Laotian capital of Vientiane. (Yonhap News)
