Local indie band Sultan of the Disco, Korean traditional/rock music crossover band Jambinai and solo artist Gonne Choi will be making an appearance at the upcoming Glastonbury Festival in England next month.

The artists will join internationally renowned headline acts such as Arcade Fire, Kasabian, Jack White, Robert Plant, Skrillex, Dolly Parton, Blondie and much more in the annual five-day music festival that will take place near Pilton, Somerset.

“Korea has a wide variety of musicians, but among those we feel that the music of Sultan of the Disco, Jambinai and Gonne Choi have very unique colors,” said a representative of the Glastonbury Festival in a press release.

Glastonbury is one of the country’s largest and most well-known music events and is often equated as Europe’s Woodstock. In its more than 40-year-long history, the Glastonbury fest has featured some of the world’s most iconic music acts including David Bowie, Van Morrison, Elvis Costello, The Cure, Johnny Cash, Radiohead, Muse and hundreds of others.

This year’s sold-out festival is expected to attract more than 180,000 concert goers and will take place from June 25-29.
