Mir of MBLAQ was intimidated by actress Hwang Shin-hye’s charisma at first sight and could not get out of bed the next day, the boy band member said on Wednesday.

“(Hwang) was the most candid person that I have ever met,” he said in a press conference for the fourth season of the StoryOn makeover show “Let Mi-in.” Mir described his first impressions of the actress by saying she was “so chic that (she) made him feel (like it was) difficult to approach (her).”
The boy band member recalled that after participating in the first filming session for “Let Mi-in Season 4” with Hwang he found it extremely difficult to get out of bed. His mother told him, “You must have had your energy (qi) sucked up. That can happen when there is someone with strong qi.”
The K-pop artist stressed that Hwang’s seemingly distant appearance belies her warmhearted nature.
Mir is the youngest and sole male emcee of the makeover reality show, alongside actresses Hwang Shin-hye, Hong Ji-min and Lady Jane. “I am incredibly indulged (by the female emcees),” Mir said.

In the show, Korea’s state-of-the-art cosmetic surgery procedures are used to help women whose social lives have been ruined because of their appearance.
Hong Ji-min, one of the three female emcees of the show, described Mir as “the most caring boy band member” that she has ever met. “For one thing, Mir would help out the female emcees in high heels up and down the stairs,” she said.
“We were a bit worried that (having an idol group member) could cause some communication problems, but he was nothing like that,” she said. “(Mir) seems to have the caring nature of an ajumma (married woman),” she added, making the reporters laugh.
