Kongju National University said Tuesday it is partnering with mobility companies to align its curriculum with industry needs.
At a partnership ceremony held in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province, on Friday, local battery electrolyte maker Enchem and automotive parts manufacturer Yongsan Co. agreed to collaborate on KNU’s Smart Mobility Engineering program.
Under the agreement, the university will develop curricula and educational materials reflecting industry demand, while the companies will provide input on the skills and competencies needed in the workplace.
The partnership aims to strengthen links between education and employment by having companies directly participate in training students for jobs in the future mobility sector, the university said.
“As industrial structures and technologies are changing rapidly, university education also needs to remain closely connected to the workplace,” a KNU official said.
“Through continued cooperation with companies, we will create a virtuous cycle that provides students with practical opportunities for growth while training talent that companies need.”
