A South Korean court on Thursday sentenced former President Yoon Suk Yeol to life in prison, finding him guilty of leading an insurrection through his 2024 imposition of martial law.

From early morning, protesters gathered outside the Seoul Central District Court in southern Seoul for rival rallies supporting and condemning the ousted president.
