BYD to showcase 8 cars at Seoul Mobility Show 2025

BYD will display eight cars at the upcoming Seoul Mobility Show 2025, held for 10 days at Kintex in Gyeonggi Province starting Thursday, the Korean office of the Chinese electric vehicle giant said Tuesday.

According to BYD Korea, the automaker will showcase the Atto 3, a small electric sport utility vehicle launched in the country earlier this year. Ordered vehicles have yet to be delivered to customers due to a stalling government review of subsidy qualification.

The Chinese EV maker said it will also present the Seal, a mid-sized electric sedan expected to be launched in Korea this year; the Sea Lion 7, a mid-sized electric sport utility vehicle; its premium brand Yangwang’s U8; a large electric SUV; and the U9, an electric sports car at the auto exhibition.

BYD’s luxury brand Denza will debut the D9, a plug-in hybrid multi-purpose vehicle, and the Z9GT, a high-performance sports sedan. Formula Bao, BYD’s other brand for special customization, will exhibit the Bao 5, a plug-in hybrid SUV, to allow visitors to experience the latest auto technologies of the Chinese company in person.

BYD plans to display its battery and auto platform technologies at the exhibition.

“We will do our best to contribute to the sustainable future and the development of the domestic eco-friendly car market, beginning with the participation in the Seoul Mobility Show where BYD can directly communicate with (Korean) customers who are unfamiliar with us,” said Cho In-chul, managing director of BYD Korea.
