The Korea Employment Information Service said Monday that it released the first issue of the KEIS e-Letter, an English newsletter on Korea's latest employment trends and labor market information, on Jan. 4.

The KEIS is affiliated with the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and is in charge of collecting, analyzing and providing information related to employment, careers and jobs, supporting the advancement of employment services and running the employment information system.

“This newsletter written in English will serve as an opportunity to promote Korea’s advanced employment services. Through this newsletter, we aim to strengthen our connections with experts, policymakers and institutions worldwide, all working together to shape the future of employment opportunities,” said Kim Young-jung, president of the KEIS.

The first issue's main article includes an analysis of characteristics and types of "NEETs," or those not in education, employment or training, along with a basic analysis of the 2021 Youth Panel Survey and an article about the achievements of an AI job matching service.

The newsletter is free and is distributed to 80 member nations of the World Association of Public Employment Services. It is also published on the KEIS website for free public access.
