SK Broadband, a wholly owned subsidiary of telecommunications firm SK Telecom, considers social value a barometer of success in business.
The company said Wednesday that it is applying a double-bottom line concept to its balance sheet to assess both the social value and the financial value of its business performance.

SK Broadband, since 2018, has co-organized a teenage video production team as part of the “B’lossom Youth Video Project” with the National Police Agency and Yonsei University.
Among the videos these young people have created are a 16-episode program on how to prevent or respond to bullying, featuring legal experts and families of victims of school violence.
The videos can be viewed through SK Broadband’s IPTV service, called B tv, and on EBS’ YouTube channel, called Kong Ddak Kong Ddak TV.
SK Broadband said the teens provide practical information in the videos about how to deal with verbal assault, cyberbullying and sexual assault in schools. They also look at the signs of school violence, show how it affects students psychologically, and offer suggestions both for the victim’s parents and the perpetrator’s parents.
Besides the teenagers, students from Yonsei University, Korea University and Sogang University are also producing videos to raise awareness about violence at educational institutions, SK Broadband said.
